The applicant will either have recently graduated from an IT course along with recent experience within the workplace or will already be working with another IT Service Provider. Preference will be given to those with experience in technology, IT Help Desk or similar support role. It is essential that they possess a keen enthusiasm for all things IT. Recent IT graduates with work experience are encouraged to apply.
The applicant will possess a keen enthusiasm for all things IT, and at least some level of technical insight into key technologies such as Hyper-V and VMware Virtualisation, HP Servers, Enterprise Networking, Linux Server Management, Synology & HP Storage Arrays, Microsoft Enterprise software and other related technologies.
Day to day responsibilities will consist of providing stability to Client systems whilst managing user expectations and delivery within the Systems space. This position will interface directly with our Clients involving maintenance, service repairs, and meeting Service Level metrics. The candidate must be confident to work independently and also as part of a larger team.
Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Equally essential is someone willing to invest in themselves.
The IT Support Specialist will be teachable, willing to invest in themselves beyond the workplace, and grow quickly into senior opportunities with LIV IT. Furthermore, they are expected to stay current with various technologies, organizational goals and industry trends. This position will be a technical nexus point, so the ability to work under pressure and deal with external stresses is essential.
